What does Car Insurance cover?
There are 3 different levels of car insurance in the UK they are:
Fully comprehensive
Which can be referred to as ‘fully comp’ is a level of car insurance that will cover the costs to fix any damage to your vehicle & any others involved in an accident, whether you were at fault or not.
Third party
The minimum level of car insurance required on the UK roads. Third party covers you for the damage to the other cars in the event of an accident that is your fault but not the damage to your own vehicle.
Third party, fire & theft
Exactly the same as ‘third party’ where you are covered for the damage to the other cars in the event of an accident that is your fault but not the damage to your own vehicle, with the addition of cover in case your car is stolen or damaged in a fire.
Additional cover options include:
- Breakdown cover
